Shillington Tradespeople and contractors will appreciate the rugged AGM Glory G1S, which also boasts the most complete set of cameras I have ever encountered. The second of these smartphones is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8+ chipset and is fitted with 18GB of RAM. This is the type of phone you’ll find on the Christmas list of every hardcore gamer. Today, I am closely examining a more moderately priced smartphone that combines ruggedness with the ability to compete in the gaming world.

The H5 Pro is equipped with a MediaTek MT6769V/CZ Helio G85 Mobile Processor. This chipset includes an octa-core CPU featuring two Arm Cortex-A75 CPUs operating up to 2GHz, and six Cortex-A55 processors running at speeds up to 1.8GHz. Its Arm Mali-G52 GPU peaks at 1GHz, providing good performance for gamers. This Android 12 phone is fitted with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of ROM, and powered by a 7000 mAh battery. While the H5 Pro features Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a fingerprint sensor, its ruggedness and ability to snap photographs under a wide range of conditions represent its greatest strengths. This device is fitted with a 48MP primary camera, a 20MP selfie camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 20MP night vision camera. It is also equipped with an extraordinarily loud internal speaker.

Rugged Design
This phone meets the MIL-STD-810H resistance standard and can survive a 1.5-meter drop. It is rated IP68/IP69K and can survive for up to 30 minutes while immersed in 1.5-meters of water. The H5 Pro blocks 99% of dust, cement, lime, and industrial powders. Shillington Shillington Shillington Its outer case is composed of double injection plastic, and the surrounding edge of the touchscreen is raised 0.3mm. Rugged smartphones, which are intended to be used in the field, are bulkier than their more delicate counterparts.
Chipset
Processing power is provided by a MediaTek MT6769V/CZ Helio G85, which includes an octa-core CPU running at up to 2.0 GHz and an Arm Mali-G52 GPU. This processor is aided by the smartphone’s 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. While not as powerful as the Snapdragon 8+ chipset fitted to the superphone I reviewed earlier, the Media Tek G85 is an excellent choice for a gaming phone in the mid-priced category.
The Display
The 5-point multi-touch screen is 6.517 inches in size and boasts a resolution of HD+ 720*1600.
Sound
A 33mm mono speaker is fitted to the back of this phone. Its metal grille protrudes about 6mm, providing an excellent viewing angle for the display. Shillington This speaker’s 3.5W output rivals that of several projectors I have recently reviewed. When I streamed a movie on Netflix, the sound was pleasing, and the volume could be raised loud enough to be heard clearly within the adjoining room. The treble is fine, and this speaker provides good bass, but I did find it reproduced the frequency band a little unevenly. I usually connect to headphones or use an external Bluetooth speaker when playing music. While working at a job site, surrounded by clanging pipes, power saws, and noisy workmates, this speaker is loud enough to ensure I can conduct a telephone call successfully. Of course, when the fellow operating the jackhammer returns from his smoke break, all bets are off!
Primary Camera
The AGM H5 Pro is equipped with four different cameras, allowing photographs to be taken under various conditions. The 48MP primary camera is matched to a Samsung S5KGM2SP sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. Images recorded by this camera are crisp, colorful, and well-focused.
Selfie Camera
This 20MP camera focuses quickly and takes excellent photographs. It is fitted with a Sony IMX376 sensor.
Macro Camera
This 2MP camera features a Gcoreinc GC02M2 sensor and is intended for snapping close-ups. Shillington Shillington
Infrared Night Vision Camera
A Sony IMX350 sensor and an infrared LED are matched to this 20MP camera. It provides a decent grayscale image within the range of its LED illumination, even when it is entirely dark. Shillington Shillington
Overall Impression
If you are a tradesman who spends your time at the job site or you enjoy hunting and fishing, this is the phone you’d want to carry. While the H5 Pro is a little thicker and heavier than its competitors, it is tough enough to handle being ducked in water, covered in dust, or dropped to the floor. This phone is equipped with an excellent mid-range processor and 8GB of RAM, providing the ability to handle the sophisticated games available today. Also included is a fingerprint sensor and features such as Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC. Its suite of cameras consists of a 48MP primary, selfie, macro, and one that can take photographs in the dead of night. A generously sized 7000mAh battery provides power. The AGM H5 Pro is recommended. This content reflects the personal opinions of the author.
